Whales under surveillance

The Canarian Government is convinced that the observation of cetaceans in the Canarian Islands is controlled enough.

The offences done by boats specialized into this kind of business fell within 96% during the last 7 years.
But, besides the number of offence, the number of ship used for whales and dolphins watching decreased by half. In 1997 there were 56 boats of this kind in Tenerife, while last year they were only 26.
